Justin M. Higgins is the Chief Legal Officer of Corner Lot, the leading independent, privately-owned, real estate development firm in North Florida with business lines that include single-family, multi-family, urban, and commercial development, as well as home construction through its Breeze Homes division. In addition, Mr. Higgins is a Co-Founder and Partner in Cutwater Realty, a real estate services company. Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Higgins was the Founder and Managing Member of JM-Higgins Law, a real estate law firm, and JM-Higgins Realty, a real estate brokerage. Before founding his own businesses, Mr. Higgins worked for Lendlease, a global real estate development, construction and investment firm, where he held legal, project management and property management roles. Earlier, he was an attorney for Deutsche Bank, a global investment bank, with a focus on servicing the firm’s hedge fund clientele. In addition, Mr. Higgins served as the Outside General Counsel for Triforce Development, a Jacksonville real estate firm focused on the ground up development and ultimate disposition of retail assets.
In years 2014-2017 and 2019, Mr. Higgins was invited to and attended the invitation-only SkyBridge Alternatives (SALT) Conference (www.salt.org), a global thought leadership and networking platform encompassing finance, technology and geopolitics, as one of its youngest delegates. In 2019, Mr. Higgins participated in the exclusive SALT Young Leaders Circle (SYLC), which was comprised of emerging professionals from around the world, representing the worlds of business, politics, technology and philanthropy.
In March 2020, Mr. Higgins Co-Founded a digital series with Anthony Scaramucci (former White House Communications Director) called, AMERICA WILL BE BACK!, Messages from leaders to Americans experiencing COVID-19 adversity. In early 2016, Mr. Higgins Founded a digital series called, The Life Advice Guide, Insights for Young Adults from Stars of Business and Beyond. The series’, which can be viewed HERE, have featured some of the most notable names from across America and in North Florida.
In April 2023, Mr. Higgins was selected as one of the 2023 honorees for the Jacksonville Business Journal’s 40 Under 40.
Mr. Higgins is a former Division I soccer player and holds Bachelor of Arts and Juris Doctor degrees. He is a licensed Florida attorney and real estate broker.
